Light-Well Townhouse, Interiors
Interiors for a narrow three-level townhouse built around a planted light well. Warm oak, soft white plaster and gray stone panels, with rust-red accents, let daylight from the open core reach every room.

Overview
A narrow townhouse can easily feel dark and closed. This design opens its center instead: a planted light well rises through the house, bringing daylight and greenery into the living, dining and family spaces on every level.
Concept: light at the core
The light well is the heart of the plan. A slender tree grows beside the dining table, a pebble garden edges the living room, and floating oak stairs let light pass through. Each room borrows daylight and a view of green from the center of the house.
Materials
A quiet, natural palette: wide oak floors and joinery, soft white plaster, large gray stone wall panels and handwoven rattan screens. Rust-red velvet and terracotta accents add warmth, while hidden linear lights trace the ceilings.
Spaces
The ground floor holds an open living room, a kitchen with a stone island and a dining table beside the tree. Upstairs, a family lounge with a curved built-in bench opens to the stairs and garden. The bedrooms use arched openings and rattan screens to connect a calm sleeping area with a small study nook and reading corner.
Plans
The 2D floor plans and the 3D cutaway show how the three levels are organized around the light well, with the garage and garden at the front and terraces at both ends.
