From Line to Light
One continuous camera move from wireframe to photoreal: the design process of a house, told in 25 seconds.
Project film

From Line to Light follows a house through the stages of its design in one continuous camera move. It begins with nothing but a grid. Thin copper lines draw the building from the ground up, the way an architect’s first sketch sets out form and proportion. The wireframe then fills into a white clay model, the massing study where volume, light and shadow are tested. Finally, real materials and golden-hour sunlight arrive: board-formed concrete, timber screens, glass and water. The camera glides inside, ending in a calm double-height living room.
The film was created as the opening of this website. It shows in a few seconds what 3D visualization makes possible: understanding a building long before it is built.
